Our founder, Mukund Kurhade, carried responsibilities long before he had the chance to dream for himself. At a young age, he made choices not for comfort, but for his family — supporting his sisters' marriages, standing behind his brothers' education, and setting aside his own path to move to Nagpur under family responsibilities. Among all his siblings, he was the one who stepped out of his comfort zone, leaving home and familiarity behind to work and support the family. It was not a choice made out of desire, but out of duty.
Where most would see limitations, he found strength. Leaving his education early and stepping into the world as a clerk, he quietly learned from life itself. There were no shortcuts in his journey — only discipline, observation, and an unshakable belief that he could build something meaningful.
His life was defined by work — not in words but in action. Till his last breath, he remained committed to his responsibilities. The day he was admitted to the hospital — the day he would never return — he was still working. That was who he was. Work was not a duty he performed; it was a responsibility he lived.
He sacrificed moments that most people hold dear — family trips, personal time, and rest — because for him, responsibilities always came first. While others in the company took breaks or stepped away when needed, he stood apart — he never took a single sick leave in his entire life. His dedication was quiet, but unmatched.
In building this company, he did more than grow a business. He built people — guiding and supporting them in setting up their own ventures. He believed growth was meaningful only when it was shared.
He laid the foundation of what stands today. What we see now is not just an organization — it is the result of a lifetime of discipline, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment.
His journey reminds us that true greatness is not loud — it is consistent, selfless, and deeply rooted in values.

Mr. Dilip Kurhade
Co-FounderStrength does not always come from intensity — sometimes, it comes from calmness, clarity, and quiet control.
For us, Dilip Kurhade was that presence — the most calm and composed person, who handled every situation with patience and balance. Where there was pressure, he brought stability. Where there was uncertainty, he brought clarity.
He approached challenges not with haste, but with understanding — always thinking, always steady. In fact, no one has ever seen him lose his temper. His calmness was not occasional — it was his nature. No matter how difficult the situation, he remained composed, making decisions with a clear mind and steady judgment.
He was well-educated and highly proficient in English, which became one of his greatest strengths. In an era where communication shaped opportunities, he represented the company with confidence and professionalism. Beyond business, he represented the family at every function — carrying its values, respect, and identity with grace — while also managing personal relationships with equal care.
He always believed that real business is built on the ground, not behind a desk. He taught us that being present in the field is where true relationships are formed and where business truly flourishes. Living by this belief, he frequently travelled, often leaving Pune, to meet people, understand markets, and strengthen connections firsthand.
As an elder brother, he never led with authority or dominance. Instead, he led with trust — believing in people, respecting decisions, and standing firmly beside his brother — creating a bond that strengthened both relationships and the business.
His life was one of quiet strength and unwavering presence. And though he is no longer with us, the values he lived by, the calmness he carried, and the relationships he built continue to guide us every day.
His presence ensured that the company did not just grow, but grew with stability, dignity, and strong relationships — values that will always remain a part of who we are.
Our Story
Our story is not just about a business — it is about courage in the face of hardship, belief during failure, and the quiet determination to keep moving forward when nothing seemed certain.
It began in the early 1970s with two brothers, Mukund Kurhade and Dilip Kurhade, who came from a humble background where survival often came before dreams. Due to financial constraints, Mr. Mukund Kurhade had to leave his education after the 7th standard and move to Nagpur to work as a clerk.
With nothing but an idea and the will to try, the two brothers started their journey with just ₹300 in their pocket. Their first attempt to manufacture liquid soap — in a metal drum — ended in failure. The batch was ruined, the money was lost, and for a moment, it felt like the dream had slipped away before it even began.
But not for them.
With support from a family member, they gathered the courage to try once again. This time, they changed their approach — using a plastic drum. That small change, backed by persistence and belief, turned into their first success.
They started small — serving washing centers, laundries, and petrol pumps. Mr. Mukund Kurhade would manufacture the product and personally deliver it, while Mr. Dilip Kurhade would step out every day to meet customers, build trust, and bring in business. Every order mattered. Every client mattered.
What started in a single drum evolved into a business built on experience, integrity, and resilience — a nationwide enterprise trusted by thousands of industries across India and beyond.
Today, Reliable Chemicals Pune operates 5 manufacturing plants and 10 strategically located warehouses across India, with exports to 6+ countries.
